Our tippet is 100% fluorocarbon and the strongest, thinnest fluorocarbon on the market with incredible strength. for example, 5lb for 5x material. It is a slightly softer material than other Fluorocarbons and ties excellent knots. The refractory index (1.42) of our tippet in water (1.33), compared to nylon (1.62) makes it almost invisible to fish.
With a density of 1.72 (compared to nylon of 1.15), our tippet sinks quicker and gets below the surface tension for more effective dry fly, nymph and wet fly fishing.
Our Saltwater tippet is nearly invisible in the water, has less stretch, and is more resistant to abrasion than its nylon counterpart.
